La Prof. Margarita Díaz-Andreu, coordinadora del Grupo de Arqueología Pública y Patrimonio, impartió la conferencia magistral “Turísmo arqueológico y sociedad: una genealogía de las relaciones sociales en torno al ocio y al patrimonio arqueológico”, organizada por la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México el pasado 19 de mayo. Participation in the 82nd Annual Meeting of the SAA
The paper “Local Engagement in UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Mexico as a Case Study” by GAPP members Amilcar Vargas, and Margarita Díaz-Andreu, together with César Villalobos (UNAM), was presented by the first author at the 82nd Meeting of the Society for American Archaeology (SAA) held in Vancouver, Canada (see program and abstracts). This paper is based on research conducted in Mexico since 2014.
On April 2nd it was presented the paper “Local Engagement in UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Mexico as a Case Study” in the Session “CULTURAL HERITAGE ISSUES AND OPPORTUNITIES” of the 82nd Meeting of the Society for American Archaeology. On behalf of Margarita Díaz-Andreu (UB) and César Villalobos (UNAM), members of the Research Team, Amilcar Vargas was the speaker person in charge of presenting the preliminary research conducted in Mexico since 2014 and that will continue until 2018.
